Moles
This humble species are quite rational and, thanks to their powerful claws, known for their expertise in digging. They are often afraid of heights and water, love eating Deeper'n'Ever Turnip'n'Tater'n'Beetroot Pie, and the leader of Redwall moles is always called Foremole. When meeting another mole, one tugs their snout. Perhaps their most famous attribute is their curious dialect, which is derived from a place in England called Somerset. Mr. Jacques would drive through this area when he was a truck driver and met men speaking in this accent.
