Gurchen is a Dibbun of Redwall and taken to Althier after being kidnapped by the Ravagers. Like all moles she is an expert digger and helps with an escape tunnel but it ends up collapsing, though she and the other two babes (Guffy and Flib respectively) are rescued by Axtel. The trio are then brought to Mumzy who cares for them until it is safe for them to return home.
