Soilflyer is a resident of Mossflower and, like all moles, an expert digger. Along with Foremole and some Loamhedge mice he heads into a temporarily deserted Kotir and, upon discovering the possibility of being able to flood the ancient castle, works with Billum and Urthclaw to dig the tunnels. After Tsarmina's death he becomes one of Redwall's first inhabitants.
