Skurpul is the cheerful Abbey Friar and the only known mole to hold the title. He acts as deputy Foremole when his older brother Gullub is out searching for the Great Doomwyte Idol jewels, and gathers a crew to help rescue a trapped Spingo at the Doomwyte lair. They sail aboard GUOSIM logboats to the place and start digging, however not long into the process he discovers it is extremely unstable and attempts to have his crew leave with Spingo. Before this can happen the cavern suddenly collapses, and along with three other moles he cannot hold onto the safety rope and falls to his death. After all four jewels have been found they are buried at the hillside in memory of the moles.
