Burgo is an overweight resident of Redwall who loves eating wild garlic and wears a clothespin over his nose to avoid inhaling the strong scent, however he eats so much of it that his body smells like garlic. He is good friends with Gabriel and Hubert, and participates in saving a severely injured Rosie.
