Doby is a resident of Redwall and, along with his brother Walt, member of Foremole's crew. Their grandmother is responsible for discovering a stone with a "M" (or "W" upside down) in an old castle and brought it to the Abbey where it is placed in the stairs between Great Hall and Cavern Hole. The brothers assist in turning it over as it conceals the entrance to Martin's tomb.
