Grubb is a rascally Dibbun of Redwall where he lives with his best friends Bagg and Runn. While the trio get into all sorts of mischief they play a big role in defending their home against Greypatch's crew by using three of Alder's knives to cut the ropes the corsairs are using to climb the Abbey wall. They are initially scolded for stealing the cutlery and sneaking outside but quickly praised when the elders realize they have actually stopped an attack.
