The Yellow Eel is a large resident of Kotir's ancient well under Redwall's south wall. He attacks Sloey after she accidentally falls into the well but is stopped by Skipper, who leaps in wielding Tammo's dirk. He is killed by the otter and they are both swept away, later washing ashore in a subsidiary of the River Moss.
