Whurp is the overweight leader of the Coneslingers tribe who lives with them in pine trees near the shore. He is the father of Burnby, enjoys laying traps for vermin who trespass in his territory, and helps Shogg and Triss in escaping from a pursuing Kurda by ordering his tribe to throw sharpened pinecones at the foebeasts.
