The Warden is the fully-grown ruler of the West Marshes, located near the Eastern Sea. He refers to himself as "The Law", will punish any he deems to be lawbreakers, and hates fire. After rescuing Martin's group from some cannibal lizards he is nearly killed by some reptiles but saved when Martin intervenes. He leads the friends through the marshes before flying away, and later participates in the Battle of Marshank.
