Wallyum is the old Skipper of Holt Rudderwake who lives with his tribe on Ruddaring Isle. He is the husband of Dorumee, father of Inbar and Winniegold, father-in-law of Grath, wields a javelin and sling, and serves as a healer for Hawm's group. During one night he is visited by Martin who asks him to help in defeating Ublaz, revealing this dream to Martin II when the mouse Warrior arrives on the island and initially mistaking him for the creature in his vision. He lets Inbar travel to Sampetra Isle so he can assist in the final battle, and convinces Hawm to help tow their raft.
