Vizka is the tall leader of the Sea Raiders and Captain of Bludgullet who wields a mace and chain. He is the older brother of Codj, has golden fur, and gets his surname from a pair of large fangs that, when revealed in a smile, usually means some creature is about to perish. He participates in a vicious ambush on Gorath's family in the Northern Isles that sees the elderly grandparents murdered, and after knocking out the young badger with his weapon he chains him to the ship's mast. His plan involves on harnessing the mighty Bloodwrath to turn Gorath into an indestructible weapon to be used in battle, thus he will always come out victorious. To do this he purposely starves his prisoner in hopes of him surrendering, but he does not count on Gorath's will and determination. He buries his brother at sea after Codj is killed by Gorath the night the badger and Orkwil escape from the ship, and decides to conquer Redwall upon hearing about it from Glurma (he also pursues Gorath). He eventually ends up with Martin's sword after killing Magger and stealing it from him, and armed with such a glorious blade he allies himself with the Brownrats so he can finally kill Gorath. The plan fails miserable with the badger and his friends force the vermin to run away, and Vizka attempts to desert with several of his crew. They end up abandoning him after he unnecessarily kills Glurma and Jungo, and he reaches Bludgullet not long before Gorath. The two enemies duel in front of an audience, and Vizka is killed when Gorath breaks his spine. His body is then thrown into the River Moss.
