Urran Voh is the stern leader of Noonvale who lives here with his family. He is the husband of Aryah, father of Brome and Rose, and great-grandfather of Aubretia. He dedicates his life to peace and helps in keeping his home's exact location a deeply-guarded secret, thus it has never seen war. Upon meeting Martin he struggles to understand the other mouse's reasoning that fighting is sometimes necessary to ensure freedom. He initially disagrees with Rose's affection for Martin, telling her that she should stay at Noonvale instead of joining the war against Badrang (whom he sees as merely a distant threat) as he is scared for her safety, but somewhat reluctantly changes his mind when he sees just how much his daughter cares for the mouse Warrior. He allows Martin to ask the Noonvale residents if they wish to join his fight, and his worst nightmare eventually comes true as Rose is killed by Badrang in the Battle of Marshank.
