Urfa is an infant resident of a farm located southeast of Redwall where she lives with her family. She is the great-granddaughter of Feryn, granddaughter of Adarin, daughter of Clerun and Clarinna, twin sister of Calla, and niece of Buckler. They are viciously attacked by Zwilt who murders her father, severely woulds her mother, and kidnaps both her and her brother. The babes are take to Althier and thrown into a cave alongside the other captives who help care for them due to their age, and during their escape they are carried as they are still learning to walk. The prisoners are tended to by Mumzy until it is safe for them to return home, and her family moves to Redwall.
