Treasure of Verdauga Greeneyes

This vast treasure is owned by Verdauga, who buries it somewhere within Kotir at an unknown time. After the ancient fortress is sunk by the CORIM and Redwall constructed over top, it is located underneath the south wall for innumerable seasons until it is discovered by some Abbey residents led by Tansy. They find a riddle Verdauga had carved into the castle's northwest tower that reveals its location: a recess in a wall behind the carving of a wildcat biting a raven. When Tansy and her friends attempt to move the stone carving a portion of the wall crumbles and some treasure gets buried. The woodlanders use parts of the treasure as tools to make their way outside, and any recovered goods are melted down into solid gold medals that are given to the survivors of the Battle of the Ridge of a Thousand. Each medal is set with a specific gem, and Craklyn is named the official Keeper of the Medals. Redwallers receive a ruby, GUOSIM shrews a peridot, Long Patrol hares a bluejohn, and Waterhogs and otters a pearl.
