Twoggs is an ancient resident of Mossflower who wanders the forest alone. She is the presumed relative of Drogbuk, Pinny, and Uggo, can be a little gluttonous, and goes to Redwall upon receiving a vision from Martin. Once here she refuses to relay her message until she has been, so Wopple pulls out all the stops to impress the old hedgehog in hopes of getting her to speak. She mentions that she would like something sweeter to drink rather than the ale that has been provided, so the good Friar leads her to the Cellar so she can pick out her own beverage. An impatient Twoggs shoves past Wopple and falls down the stairs, smashing her head into the closed Cellar door and suffering a fatal concussion. She manages to tell Thibb what Martin had said before passing away.
