Trug is a young sword-wielding resident of Salamandastron and, along with his twin sister Trey, member of the Long Patrol. He suffers a terrible loss after she is brutally murdered by Razzid's crew, and joins Rake on the trip to the High North Coast so they can strike an alliance with the Rogue Crew Sea Otters. He later participates in the Battle of Redwall where he fulfills his promise of vengeance by killing Shekra.
