Tim is a young resident of Saint Ninian's where he lives with his family until they move to Redwall when Cluny arrives in Mossflower. He is the son of John and Mrs. Churchmouse, twin brother of Tess, brother-in-law of Mattimeo, and uncle of Martin II. Along with his sister he serves as Abbey Bellringer, and together with her and several others he is kidnapped by Slagar's gang. He survives the terrifying journey to the Kingdom of Malkariss where he and the rest of the slaves are rescued by Matthias's group, and he is reunited with her parents upon returning to Redwall. He later succeeds his father as Abbey Recorder.
