This large army of assorted vermin resides in Kotir and initially led by Verdauga. While every soldier wears a uniform they are not the most organized of hordes, and in the early days of their reign they live in somewhat harmony beside the Mossflower woodlanders. Verdauga demands they give the vermin half their food as tax, but while this results in the goodbeasts either working harder or starving the warlord makes them a deal once they start rebelling: if they continue to give his army food, he will protect them from any possible threats. After he is fatally poisoned by his daughter Tsarmina she becomes Queen and obsessed with enslaving the woodlanders as she wants to conquer all of Mossflower. This forces the creatures to hand over almost all of their food, so they retreat further into the woodlands and form the CORIM. As a result the Kotire soldiers begin to grow quite thin and their supplies dwindle, causing several of them to think about mutiny. Bane's arrival in the area with his mercenaries provides them with some much-needed aid, and his group joins the army after his death, however the CORIM succeed in flooding the ancient castle and killing many soldiers. Tsarmina is killed by Martin, and the army is vanquished.
