Taunoc is a resident of Mossflower who lives in a tree that falls onto Redwall's south wall during a storm, and Tansy allows him to move into the Kitchen where he raises his family. He is the husband of Orocca and father of Nutbeak, Nutclaw, and Nutwing. He acts as a messenger for Redwall and Salamandastron, often flying between the two places to deliver important information.
