Stugg is a very young member of Shoredog's holt who lives with them on the High North Sea's coast. He is the son of Abruc and Marinu, asks a lot of questions, and finds a severely wounded Lonna in a forest while out with his father. He is ordered to run back to the holt to gather help, and later befriends Lonna (who comments that he will grow up to be a fierce warrior).
