Strapp is a cutlass-wielding resident of an unknown place and Captain of Shalloo. Despite being smaller than his brother Slipp he is far more persuasive, thus the two corsair crews usually side with him. He convinces them to sail south and throws a party on his ship, sending out some guards to investigate when he hears strange noises. They spot Finnbarr and send him running off but quickly discover that some woodlanders are stealing Slipp's vessel Pearl Queen. Strapp has always wanted the ship and immediately pursues the friends, abandoning his brother on the beach in the process. He is almost successful in catching up but Finnbarr outmaneuvers him in the Green Maelstrom, and along with his ship and crew Slipp is swallowed up in the massive whirlpool.
