Spriggat is an old resident of Mossflower who eats insects and has an appetite for bumblebees, often catching them in a net on a string. He is a skilled tracker, saves Arula and Samkim from being stung to death, and helps them on their quest to find Martin's stolen sword. While on the Great Inland Lake he is attacked by the Deepcoiler and later passes away from his injuries.
