Snidjer is the small leader of the Flitchaye who lives with them in Mossflower. His tribe ambushes Mariel's group by using herbal smoke to knock them unconscious, briefly stealing Martin's sword from Dandin in the process. The friends are rescued by Stonehead, who strikes the weasel before imprisoning the tribe in their own underground holes by placing a large tree branch on top. As the owl knows this will not keep them incapacitated for long he leads the friends away. While Snidjer and his fellow weasels are not mentioned after this they presumably kill Fishtail's group who are led into their territory by Oak Tom.
