Smerc is a small resident of Mossflower who lives near a swamp and plays the reed flute. He agrees to show Sunflash the way out in exchange for food, however halfway through the trek he instead delivers the badger to a group of reptiles led by an eel. An angry Sunflash knocks him unconscious with a flask and Skarlath later moves him to a tree beside the eel.
