Slothunog is a gigantic resident of Deeplough on Green Isle who has black scales, a long snake-like neck, and a reptile-like head with many sharp teeth. It is possibly modeled after the Loch Ness Monster and thought by the otterclans to be a legend, but it reveals itself to them while they are traveling to Holt Summerdell (they must pass through the crater to reach the place). A Bloodwrath-afflicted Cuthbert throws himself and five cats at the beast, killing it with his pike-axe, and the beast sinks into the water along with the hare.
