These two corsair crews are led by brothers Slipp and Strapp, and sail aboard Shalloo as well as Pearl Queen. Despite Slipp being larger and stronger, Strapp is more persuasive and thus the rats tend to follow him. While both crews are aboard Shalloo a group of Redwallers commandeer Pearl Queen, shoving Blaggut and Slipp into the sea. Strapp, who has always fancied the ship, abandons his brother and pursues the woodlanders. Thanks to Finnbarr's expert maneuvering skills, Shalloo and her crews are swallowed up in the Green Maelstrom.
