Skipper is the leader of Mossflower otters who wields a javelin and sling. He is the father of Rangapaw, friends with Log a Log and Martin II, and participates in an attack against Romsca and Lask's crew where he kills a lizard with his bare paws. Some time later he helps in defeating Scruvo's gang at Saint Ninain's Church and locates one of the Tears of all Oceans inside. Upon orders from Rollo he burns down the ancient place, staying to ensure it is completely destroyed.
