Silvamord

Gender: female

Species: fox

Appears In: The Bellmaker

Silvamord is a resident of the Land of Ice and Snow where she lives with her husband Nagru. Despite being smaller than him she is just as vicious (if not more), wields a bow and sword, and wears a skirt made from the tails of slain enemies. The two travel with their army to Southsward where they easily conquer Floret and the land, imprisoning Gael's family in the process. She enjoys tormenting Muta and gets very angry over the fact that the badger cannot speak. After yet another heated argument with her husband she sends Bluebane to spy on him, unaware that the rat has been ordered by Nagru to spy on her. She plans on promoting Graywort (who, along with his wife Sicant, secretly works for her) but Nagru finds out and purposely has Graywort killed by Mariel's group. The foxes strike a truce in hopes of recapturing the escaped prisoners but the plan fails when Iris's crew attacks, and she fails at snatching up Mariel. During the Battle of Southsward she commands the soldiers who remain inside Floret while Nagru heads outside to ambush the other woodlanders, but she ends up meeting Josephs's army. In the ensuing fight she kills Fatch and leaps outside a window into the moat in an attempt to escape, but Rab jumps in after her and slays the vixen by presumably drowning her. Her name is possibly derived from silva (Latin for "forest") and mors (Latin for "death"), or selv and mord (two Danish words that mean "self-murder" when put together).
