Silth is the old High Queen of Marlfox Island who lives here with her family. She is the mother of Ascrod, Gelltor, Lantur, Mokkan, Predak, Vannan, and Ziral, and murders her mate because he wants to be King. She is extremely greedy and conceited, likes to be carried around on a curtained palanquin, and orders her children to steal beautiful objects for her chamber as she claims that "death cannot visit where beauty reigns". Lantur stays behind to care for her when the others travel to Mossflower, and she is constantly tormented by the White Ghost; while she believes this is the spirit of her slain mate, it is actually Lantur playing a trick on her with help from Wilce. She is fatally poisoned by her sly daughter who wants to be ruler, and her body is thrown to the Teeth of the Deeps. Silth is the third Marlfox to perish.
