Shavvakamalla is the leader of the Painted Ones tribe who lives with them in Mossflower. His vermin attack and capture Tammo, but when the young hare is saved by Russa he is caught by her and then handed over to the Long Patrol. They use him as a hostage to safely pass through the area, then he is returned to his tribe.
