Seasons

This unit of time is used within the Redwall world, and four consecutive seasons equals one year. The four seasons (summer, autumn, winter, and spring) are often individually named by the Abbey inhabitants based on specific events; for example, the autumn in which Matthias's group returns home with the rescued youngsters is named the Autumn of the Warriors' Return. When a creature says "three winters ago" or something similar, it is the same as "three years ago". When a season is named on Nameday, a great feast is held.
