Sayna is born at Saint Ninian's and lives with her family until they are forced out by Verdauga, then they head to the North Shores. She is the daughter of Windred, wife of Luke, daughter-in-law of Martin, and mother of Martin the Warrior. She bravely tries to defend herself and her infant son when Daskar's crew attacks, but she is viciously murdered by the pirate stoat. A grieving Luke later renames Reynard's commandeered ship Sayna in her memory.
