Saltear is a fat member of Vizka's crew who possesses a hot temper and wields a pair of daggers. He is friends with Ragchin and, along with two other vermin, ordered to guard the three prisoners (Maudie, Orkwil, and Rangval). When they free themselves he charges at Rangval but is killed when the squirrel gives him a powerful kick to the neck.
