Ruro is a member of Jukka's tribe who lives with them in a pine grove near Salamandastron. She wields a double-edged spear with a thick handle, is an expert healer, and friends with Fleetscut. She becomes leader after Jukka's death and receives a gift from Brocktree in the form of a forged silver medallion with Jukka's likeness wielding a sling etched into it, and this medal is called the Jukka Medal.
