Runneye is a member of Driftail's gang who lives with them in Mossflower. After whacking Zerig (who is purposely alone to set an ambush) with his club a few times he and the band are captured by Gulo's horde, and during interrogation he tells the wolverine all he knows about Redwall. Along with Bluesnout he is killed and eaten by the vermin.
