Rorgus is the leader of Redwall otters who wields a dagger, javelin, and sling. He is the husband of Zaran, father of Rorzan, step-father of Namur, helps in the search for the Great Doomwyte Idol jewels, participates in several battles against the Painted Ones, and assists Bisky's group in escaping from the tunnels beneath the Cellar. Along with three others he heads into Mossflower to find one of the jewels, and the friends are purposely intoxicated by Blodd who plans on killing them but stopped by Gullub. He later participates in the final battle at the Doomwyte lair where he meets Zaran, and they end up falling in love.
