Ripfang - so named because of his very long left fang - is the old Captain of Bloodwake who wields a whip and curved sword. Despite his age he is still quite powerful and intelligent, kidnapping many woodlanders (including Big Club's tribe and Timballisto) to serve as oarslaves on his ship. He has attempted many times to conquer Salamandastron and is crushed to death by Boar on the beach during Boar's Battle, though he manages to slay the Badger Lord in the process and unknowingly fulfills a prophecy. According to Mr. Jacques, he is not the same Ripfang from Lord Brocktree.
