Riddig is a young member of the Streamrats gang who, as their name suggests, lives with them along the streams. He is the son of its leader Girfang and bothers Martin's group, copying what they say until they hit his tail with a stone. He then runs to his father and claims he has been severely injured, but an annoyed Girfang (who thinks the attackers are fierce otters) beats him for lying.
