Renn is an old spear-wielding wanderer and best friends with Brool. They rob Veil when he happens upon their campfire but forced to flee when Bryony and Togget throw hardened pinecones at them. Veil later finds and kills them both in revenge, and the two Redwallers find their bodies in the river.
