Reisa is a resident of Salamandastron who acts as its official cartographer (someone who draws maps). Her drawings would be used by the Redwallers to leave when their home is attacked by unseen foes. She is created by Redwall fan Hyzenthlay of Redwall for the 2010 Penguin Name a Character contest, and is the only official Redwall character to not appear in a novel. Her name is derived from "reise" (German for travel) and "karte" (German for map).
