Redwall Tapestry
Appears In: every book except Lord Brocktree, Martin the Warrior, Outcast of Redwall, and Mariel of Redwall
This magnificent tapestry is found in Great Hall at Redwall Abbey, and originally a small woven picture of Martin the Elder Warrior (Martin the Warrior's grandfather). It is brought to the Abbey by Martin and, upon a suggestion by Columbine, hung in the Hall. The picture is later somewhat changed to resemble Martin's likeness thanks to sketches of him found in the Gatehouse. It depicts an armoured Martin leaning on his great sword with terrified vermin fleeing behind him, and a rose can be found at his right footpaw (possibly hinting to his love, Rose). Many Redwallers often speak to the picture as they believe Martin's spirit rests within it, and it is sometimes mentioned that his eyes move or his smile grows bigger which indicates that his spirit does indeed inhabit the piece. Above the Warrior's picture rests the actual sword on two holders, and in Pearls of Lutra one of the pearls is hidden here. The tapestry is sought after by warlords and some have managed to steal it, most notable Cluny and the Marlfoxes, but it is always returned to its rightful place.
