Ragwing is a member of Ironbeak's flock who, like them, originates from the Northlands. While participating in guard duty he and Grubclaw are spooked by a mysterious armoured spirit (Cornflower dressed up pretending to be Martin), and by spreading stories about the ghost he unknowingly aids the Redwallers in their fight as his tales are lowering the flocks' morale. He is the only confirmed survivor of the final battle.
