Posybud - commonly known as Posy - is a young resident of an unknown place and captured by Snaggs' gang. She is pretty, a skilled cook, forced to make their meals, and meets Uggo after he too is snatched up by the band. When he suggests they escape she is initially very hesitant as she knows what the vermin will do to those who attempt to flee, but they later escape aboard a log boat with help from Jum. He disappears during a storm and they are found by Razzid after almost drowning, and she tries to stop Uggo from revealing too much about Redwall to the evil Wearat. They later flee aboard a raft made from massive crossbow arrows and are saved by the Whoomers, who keep the pursuing corsairs at bay and bring the pair to the Fortunate Freepaws. After meeting them and the GUOSIM they all head to Redwall to warn the inhabitants, and they arrive just before Razzid attacks. She is with Uggo in the Kitchen when the Wearat storms in, stabbing him through the stomach with Martin's sword after Uggo accidentally drops it and is subsequently tortured by Razzid. Thanks to her and Jum's efforts (the old otter kills Razzid by whacking him on the head with his large stick), a commandeered Greenshroud is renamed Posy Gurdy in their honour.
