Plumpen is the leader of a Mossflower dormouse tribe consisting of his family. He wields a curved sword and is captured by Cluny towards the final battle, being forced to open an Abbey wallgate or his kin will be slaughtered. After he opens the gate he is knocked unconscious by Fangburn but survives and later lives at Redwall.
