Pasque - the name for the Pulsatilla genus of herbs which are used in childbirth, and valerian is an herb used to help sleeping disorders - is a young resident of Salamandastron and skilled healer in the Long Patrol who wields a rapier. She is the wife of Tammo, daughter-in-law of Cornspurrey and Mem, and sister-in-law of Lynum and Saithe. Along with ten other hares she follows a band of shipwrecked Rapscallions who eventually run into Russa and Tammo, taking them prisoner. Before they can kill them the vermin are attacked by her group, and after this she and Tammo become quite close. Despite her experience she cannot heal his limp as a result of a vermin spear to his leg during the Battle of the Ridge of a Thousand.
