Oilback is a member of Clogg's crew and famous for his expertise in throwing knives. For this reason he is sent by his leader to infiltrate Marshank and assassinate Badrang, and while inside he spots a cloaked figure leave the longhouse. As he believes this is Badrang he hurls a knife at the creature's unprotected back, however upon turning them over he discovers it to be Gurrad. He finds a flagon of blackberry grog and just manages to escape detection, heading outside the main gates where he decides to have a drink. He ends up dying not long after for the grog was actually poisoned by Badrang as a means of assassinating Clogg, and Gurrad was leaving the longhouse to deliver the flagon.
