Oak Tom is a fat and cheerful resident of Redwall who, despite his girth, can move quite swiftly in the trees. He is the husband of Treerose, good friends with Rufe, and warns the other Abbey inhabitants that Greypatch's oarslaves are being kept in a cage. He helps to rescue them and, after the gruesome battle, follows some surviving corsairs and kills them (including Greypatch) as revenge for the deaths of Clary and Thyme. After marrying, he and Treerose move into Mossflower but often visit their Redwall pals.
