These otter tribes are led by Garraway and reside in northern Mossflower. They live in a huge cavern underneath the roots of a beech tree, and these thick roots form a ceiling as well as wallbeams and long seats. The area is lit by a fire in a stone hearth and mantle that has ovens on both sides, and cauldrons held over the flames by iron trivets. The tribes are enemies of the Flitchaye because the weasels have a nasty habit of killing the old and young (babes are called "kitts").
