Mumzillia - better known as Mumzy - is an old resident of Mossflower who lives by herself near a river. She is the niece of Shaym and has no children though she has always wanted to be a mother, which is why she cares for the three youngsters (Flub, Guffy, and Gurchen respectively) after finding them and helping Flib to heal by giving her a special soup. She cares for all the babes who escape from Althier until it is safe for them to be returned to their families, and after Vilaya's death she moves to Redwall where she assists in caring for the Dibbuns.
